Sekhukhune District Municipality invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for Finance Internship opportunities within the Department of Budget and Treasury for the 2025/2026 financial years.

Internship Overview
- Position: Finance Interns (x5)
- Department: Budget and Treasury
- Duration: 24 Months (Contract)
- Stipend: R100,000 per annum
This internship programme is aimed at equipping graduates with practical skills and experience in municipal financial management to improve future employability within the public sector.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualification: National Diploma or BCom in Accounting or Finance
- Computer Literacy: MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience: No prior work experience required
Core Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of financial policies and procedures
- Support in the compilation of financial statements and management reports
- Perform electronic capturing of financial data
- Assist with reconciliation and financial analysis tasks
- Carry out any other duties assigned by senior finance staff

- Successful candidates will sign an employment contract, performance agreement, and disclose financial interests.
