Minimum Requirements
For Cleaner Posts:
- Grade 10 or equivalent (SAQA recognised)
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of cleaning materials and operating cleaning equipment
- Must be physically fit, punctual, and reliable
- Understanding of Batho Pele principles
For General Worker Posts:
- ABET Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- Ability to read and write
- Experience or knowledge of gardening and maintenance work
- Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labour
- Team player with good communication skills
Duties
Cleaner Responsibilities:
- Clean offices, storerooms, corridors, toilets, and boardrooms
- Empty bins and provide water during meetings
- Wash windows and walls; refill aqua coolers
- Clean kitchen utensils and equipment
- Scrub toilets and vacuum floors
General Worker Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintenance of premises
- Move furniture and assist in loading/offloading
- Maintain and operate gardening tools and machinery
- Remove garbage and assist with receiving stock
