Contract Duration: 24 Months
Internship Requirements
- Completed B Degree/National Diploma in Accounting/Financial Management N6/Accounting and Internal Audit.
- Preference will be given to applicants from rural areas and residents within the Gert Sibande District Municipality area of jurisdiction.
Internship Duties
The successful candidates will gain exposure to various functions within the Finance Department, including:
- Performing clerical tasks for processing information on debtors, creditors, income, and expenditure.
- Reconciling debtors, creditors, and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with salary input and control of payroll data.
- Maintaining and safeguarding proper financial records.
- Managing electronic data and records.
- Submitting statutory third-party financial returns on time.
- Assisting with compiling annual budgets, SDBIP, and financial statements.
- Generating financial reports for management and committee structures.
- Participating in internal audit functions and processes.
- Assisting in supply chain management processes.
