Programme Overview
The Tronox KZN Sands Vacation Work Programme provides students with an opportunity to gain practical work experience in their field of study. This temporary programme is ideal for students who need to complete vacation work to meet graduation requirements.
Fields of Study
Vacation work is available in the following disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Chemical Engineering (Mineral Processing)
- Mining Surveying
Who Can Apply?
Students who:
- Are South African citizens.
- Are in their 3rd or 4th year of studies.
- Require vacation work to fulfil their course requirements (proof required).
Required Documents
Applicants must submit:
- A 1-page concise CV.
- Certified copies (not older than 3 months) of:
- Identity Document (ID)
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Academic results (full history up to June 2025)
- Validation letter from university confirming vacation work requirement.
- Proof of Residence from Traditional Council.
