Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completed N3 with the relevant trade
- Must be willing to commit to the full programme
- South African citizenship
Learnership Details
- Duration: 2 years
- Agreement: Successful candidates will sign a two-year learnership agreement with Ilima Coal Company, commencing 26 September 2025
About Ilima Coal Company
Ilima Coal Mine (also known as Pembani Coal Carolina) is an opencast and underground coal mine owned by Pretorius Group of Companies (PGC).
- Located near Carolina, Mpumalanga Province, about 3 km east of Carolina, north of the R38.
- Acquired by PGC in 2016 from Pembani Coal Carolina (PCC).
- The colliery operates under a large mining right area, with both opencast and underground operations, designed as a phased development over 30 years.
