About the Marketing Internship at Prestige Cosmetics Group
The Marketing Intern will join the Luxury Cosmetics Brands Division and report directly to the Marketing Manager. The role is focused on supporting the brand strategy, developing brand presence in South Africa, and ensuring that international strategies are effectively adapted to the local market.
The programme provides valuable exposure to the cosmetics retail industry, offering interns the chance to develop key marketing, sales, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Development
- Maintain brand equity and integrity in South Africa.
- Assist in adapting global strategies for the local market.
- Support seasonal brand strategy sessions with retailers.
- Present marketing and branding ideas to senior management.
Sales Performance
- Review business performance and identify opportunities.
- Assist with inventory management and monthly reporting.
- Support the management of new product launches, including demand planning and stock distribution.
- Conduct competitor and market research.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with retailers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate PR activities, media coverage, and digital campaigns.
Financial & Brand Support
- Assist with budget compliance and ROI requirements.
- Provide reporting on sales, brand performance, and stock management.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in retailer buy plans, price increases, and product flow processes.
- Handle customer and consumer queries professionally.
Minimum Requirements
- Business/Marketing degree.
- 2 – 3 years of brand/marketing experience (cosmetics/luxury industry experience advantageous).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
