About the Health and Safety Internship
This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to the Health and Safety department. The successful intern will perform administrative tasks, support compliance functions, and gain valuable workplace experience in a security and investigations industry environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Health and Safety Intern, your key duties will include:
- Assisting in the implementation of employee wellness and development initiatives.
- Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety policies, programmes, and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and audits.
- Assisting in the investigation of accidents and implementing corrective measures.
- Coordinating health and safety training sessions for employees.
- Collaborating with departments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitoring SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) performance metrics and reporting findings.
- Contributing to emergency response plans and assisting with drills.
- Staying updated on industry best practices and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical orientation.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team.
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations and standards.
