About the Sasol Learnership

The learnership offers participants the chance to gain theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience to become competent Chemical Plant Operators.

Division: Energy Marketing and Sales


Key Responsibilities

As a Chemical Plant Operator Learner, you will:

  • Apply emergency procedures and adhere to company safety policies.
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Participate in daily morning meetings to review work assignments.
  • Provide regular feedback to supervisors on work progress.
  • Contribute to root cause analyses (RCA) and safety improvements.
  • Support company goals by meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards and comply with waste disposal procedures.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must have:

  • A National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent, including passes in:
    • Technical Mathematics / Mathematics (SG/HG)
    • English / Business English (SG/HG)
    • Technical / Physical Science (SG/HG)
  • OR a combined N3 Certificate with trade-related subjects.
  • 0 years’ work experience (entry-level opportunity).
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a structured programme.
