The University of the Western Cape (UWC) invites new and returning students to complete their 2026 first semester registration during the official registration period. All registrations will take place online through the UWC Student Portal, and students must strictly adhere to the dates provided below. No late registrations will be accepted unless approval is granted by the relevant Faculty.

First Semester Registration Dates 2026
Undergraduate (Returning), Honours and Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate
06 January 2026 – 06 February 2026
PhD and Master’s Students (New and Returning)
From 06 January 2026
New and First-Time Entry Students
06 January 2026 – 30 January 2026
Commencement of First Semester 2026
The 2026 First Semester (First Term) will officially commence on:

Online registration will run from 06 January 2026 to 06 February 2026.

Please note that assisted registration applies strictly to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Students who need in-person help may contact the faculty for guidance.

Login Details
- Returning Students: Log in using your AD password (not your ID or passport number).
- First-Year Students:
- SA Students: Enter !St + your full South African ID number
- International Students: Enter !St + your passport number
Students must follow the full online registration process as outlined in their student guide.
