South Africa’s unemployed graduates and TVET college learners have just received a major opportunity. The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has officially opened its 2026/2027 University Graduate & TVET Internship Programme, offering paid, structured work experience across all provinces and at national level.

If you are between 18 and 35, hold an N6 certificate or an NQF Level 7 qualification, and have never participated in a similar programme, this could be the break you’ve been waiting for.

Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following:
- South African citizen
- Unemployed
- Aged 18–35 years
- Never participated in a similar internship programme
- Hold one of the following:
- N6 Certificate (TVET stream)
- NQF Level 7 qualification (Graduate stream)
- Submit the following at application stage:
- New Z83 application form only (old Z83 = disqualification)
- Detailed CV
- Affidavit confirming no prior participation in a similar programme
Important: Do not submit copies of qualifications at application stage. Only shortlisted candidates will be requested to submit them later.
