Internship Overview
The Poultry Nutrition Internship focuses on applied research related to Yellow Mealworm biology and production systems as a sustainable protein source for animal feed. Interns will work within a research team while developing hands-on laboratory and data skills.
Key Responsibilities
Successful interns will be required to:
- Conduct applied research on Yellow Mealworm biology and production systems
- Develop, refine, and document breeding and rearing strategies
- Investigate substrate options to improve cost-effectiveness and sustainability
- Collect, manage, and process experimental data with high accuracy
- Maintain hygiene standards and operational protocols within the insectary
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree / BTech / Advanced Diploma in:
- Entomology
- Animal Science
- Agriculture
- Ability to work independently and within a research team
- Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration
- Adaptability and willingness to engage with novel research concepts and methods
