Internship Overview

The Poultry Nutrition Internship focuses on applied research related to Yellow Mealworm biology and production systems as a sustainable protein source for animal feed. Interns will work within a research team while developing hands-on laboratory and data skills.


Key Responsibilities

Successful interns will be required to:

  • Conduct applied research on Yellow Mealworm biology and production systems
  • Develop, refine, and document breeding and rearing strategies
  • Investigate substrate options to improve cost-effectiveness and sustainability
  • Collect, manage, and process experimental data with high accuracy
  • Maintain hygiene standards and operational protocols within the insectary

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / BTech / Advanced Diploma in:
    • Entomology
    • Animal Science
    • Agriculture
  • Ability to work independently and within a research team
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration
  • Adaptability and willingness to engage with novel research concepts and methods
