This internship is aimed at graduates who have completed a three-year Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field and are seeking relevant workplace experience.

- Initial contract of 12 months
- Option to extend for a further 12 to 24 months, up to a maximum of 3 years
- Monthly Stipend: R9 274.85 per month

Internship Overview
Mossel Bay Municipality offers this internship opportunity to provide graduates with practical work experience in the Project Management Unit, supporting municipal infrastructure development while enhancing professional and technical skills in a local government environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree (minimum NQF Level 6) in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Must be in possession of a completed qualification at the date of application
- Valid Code B driver’s licence
- Fluency in at least two (2) of the three (3) official languages of the Western Cape
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications)
- Must meet the academic requirements for the field of study
- Must not previously have been employed as an Intern in the Public Sector
- Willingness to work overtime
Key Conditions
- Candidates who qualify for pre-screening may be required to undergo:
- Theoretical and/or practical assessments
- A driving skills test
- Successful applicants may be required to undergo a baseline medical evaluation
- Employment is subject to a written offer made by the Municipality and accepted by the applicant
