The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for its Internship Programme / In-Service Training for 2025–2027, based at the Head Office in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This 24-month internship programme forms part of the Provincial Administration: Gauteng and is aimed at providing structured workplace exposure to young graduates who have not previously participated in an internship programme.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • National Diploma or Degree in:
    • Library & Knowledge Management
    • Public Management
    • Governance
    • Information Science
  • South African citizen
  • Unemployed
  • Must not have participated in any previous internship programme

Key Duties

The successful intern will be required to:

  • Complete all tasks assigned in relation to the post
  • Provide administrative and research support within the directorate
  • Assist with policy, legislation, research, and knowledge management activities
