Internship Overview
The National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC) is offering 8 internship opportunities for qualified graduates. This programme provides valuable workplace experience and exposure to administrative, communication, and project-related functions within a professional environment.
Successful candidates will receive an all-inclusive stipend of R120 000 per annum and will gain hands-on experience across various units within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will be exposed to the following duties:
- Perform entry-level administrative and functional tasks
- Handle correspondence, enquiries, and maintain records and files
- Provide administrative support in budgeting processes
- Assist with information gathering for audit preparation
- Collate data and prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- Support unit supervisors and managers with delegated tasks
- Prepare meeting agendas and take minutes
- Assist in preparing at least one presentation per quarter
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Applicants must have a:
- National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Honours Degree in:
- Public Administration
- Journalism and Media Studies
- Project Management
- Public Relations
- Business Management
Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of relevant laws and frameworks such as:
- Skills Development Act (SDA)
- PFMA
- Tax laws
- BBBEE
- Employment Equity and Affirmative Action
- Theoretical knowledge related to the functional area or department
Entry Requirements
To qualify for the NEDLAC Internships 2026, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be under the age of 35
- Have a valid South African ID
- Hold a relevant post-matric qualification from a recognised institution
