This learnership provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical training, industry exposure, and valuable technical experience in one of South Africa’s largest mining companies.
Available Learnership Fields
Harmony Gold Learnerships are available in the following trades:
- Rigger
- Boilermaker / Plater
- Electrician
- Auto Electrician
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all the following requirements:
- Technical Grade 12 or:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (minimum 50%)
- OR N2 (4 subjects with related trade theory)
- OR NCV Level 4 with Mathematics (minimum 50%) and trade theory
- Maths Literacy is not accepted
- Full N3 required for Instrumentation (with relevant subjects)
- Proof of residence (municipal statement such as water & lights)
- Must be medically fit
- Must be willing to undergo psychometric assessments
- Medical Certificate of Fitness
- Good command of English (read, write, and speak)
Advantageous Requirements
- N6 or Diploma in Engineering Studies
- Relevant qualification in your chosen field
- Valid driver’s licence
- Own reliable transport
- Ability to work in a team
- Willingness to work overtime and standby when required
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow safety and health protocols
Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted
- Candidates will undergo:
- Medical fitness assessments
- Psychometric tests
- Interviews
