About the PepsiCo R&D WIL Learnership
The PepsiCo R&D WIL Learnership (Seasoning) is designed for students in their final year who need practical workplace experience to complete their qualification.
The programme focuses on research and development within food production, particularly seasoning applications, pilot plant trials, and product testing.
Learners will gain hands-on experience in real production environments while supporting R&D Technologists on various projects.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the programme, successful candidates will:
Assist with trial protocols and coordinate with stakeholders
Support research and development projects within the SA R&D team
Help execute pilot plant and factory production trials
Conduct laboratory tests such as:
- Salt analysis
- Oil analysis
- Bulk density analysis
- Particle size analysis
- Moisture analysis
Support product development and seasoning applications
Assist in compiling project timelines and reports
Work with regulatory teams to ensure compliance
Participate in health, safety, and hygiene (GMP) practices
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this learnership, applicants must:
Be a South African citizen
Be in their final year or have completed the theoretical part of their qualification
Have a minimum average of 60%
Be studying in one of the following fields:
- Biochemistry
- Food Technology
- Engineering
Have strong analytical and technical skills
Be a team player with good communication skills
Be self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn
Advantageous Skills
