About the OUTsurance Learnership Programme
The OSS Hastings Learnership is an 18-month structured work-based programme aimed at providing unemployed youth with practical workplace experience in the insurance and financial services industry.
The programme focuses on developing call centre and customer service skills while offering participants the opportunity to complete formal training and gain valuable industry exposure.
Successful learners will sign a fixed-term learnership agreement and receive a monthly stipend.

Working Hours and Shift Requirements
Participants will work according to a roster system, including:
- Friday to Monday shifts (9 hours)
- Saturdays (8 hours)
- Sundays (5 hours)
- Two weekdays off (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday)
- One weekday dedicated to on-site training
Public Holidays
- Learners may be required to work on South African public holidays if scheduled
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
- No work experience required
To qualify for the INSETA Learnership:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Must not have previously participated in an INSETA Learnership
- Must have been unemployed for the past 6 months
