Nampak Apprenticeship Programme 2026
Nampak is offering four apprenticeship opportunities within the Engineering Department at Metals Epping in Cape Town.

Successful applicants are expected to commence the apprenticeship programme in 2027.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have Matric with Mathematics, Physical Science and English as a second language, with a minimum pass mark of 50%.
Candidates must also have at least:
NTC3 Engineering or higher
with relevant trade theory as a subject.
Applicants must provide both the NTC3 certificate and transcript clearly showing subjects and marks.
Additional Requirements
Candidates should have a basic understanding of engineering and demonstrate good teamwork, organisation and communication skills.
Basic computer literacy is required.
Applicants should also be able to work independently when necessary, show initiative and maintain a positive attitude.
Successful candidates must be willing to work overtime and shifts when required.
Apprenticeship Responsibilities
Apprentices will be expected to complete the required theoretical modules for their trade and participate in intensive workplace training.
They will gain practical exposure to maintenance, installations, troubleshooting and problem solving.
Apprentices will also support production operations by helping maintain appropriate levels of equipment availability and reliability.
All participants will be expected to comply with plant rules, regulations and safety requirements while working effectively in a team environment.
