African Commodity Handling Projects (ACHP) invites unemployed youth to apply for Technical Apprenticeship Opportunities 2026.

Location: Kusile Power Station (Local Communities)
Target Areas: Emalahleni, Victor Khanye Municipality & Bronkhorstspruit Region 7
These Internal/External Apprenticeships are aimed at local communities around Kusile Power Station, offering hands-on technical training and structured workplace exposure in critical artisan trades.
Available Apprenticeship Opportunities (2026)
The following technical apprenticeship positions are open:
- Electrician x2
- Mechanical Fitter x2
- Boilermaker x2
- Rigger x2
- Control & Instrumentation x2
⚠️ Attention: These opportunities are reserved for candidates residing in the specified local communities.
Key Responsibilities
Successful apprentices will be expected to:
- Successfully complete theoretical learning, practical training, and skills assessments
- Complete all required documentation (logbooks, skills and training records)
- Maintain a safe working environment in line with safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate effective communication, good behaviour, and teamwork
- Take ownership of performance and self-management
- Provide accurate reporting on tasks completed
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 or N3 with Pure Mathematics and English (minimum 50% pass)
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and their functionality
Advantageous Qualifications
The following will be an added advantage:
- N4–N6 qualifications
- Computer literacy
- Previous workshop experience
Skills and Competencies
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Basic numeracy skills
- Good analytical skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective time management
- Sound communication skills
- Ability to work well as a team player
