About the Apprenticeship Programme

The Feltex apprenticeship programme focuses on developing highly skilled artisans for the automotive manufacturing environment.

As an apprentice, you will:

  • Receive formal Electrical Training at an accredited training centre
  • Gain on-the-job plant experience
  • Complete Further Education and Training (technical training)
  • Develop technical, teamwork, customer service, and quality compliance skills

This programme is ideal for candidates who want to build a long-term career as a qualified Electrician in an industrial setting.


Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric) with Mathematics and Science

AND

  • N3 qualification with:
    • Electrical Trade Theory
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science

OR

  • NCV Level 4 in Electrical

  • Be prepared to travel and train away from home
  • Be physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
  • Have good problem-solving skills
  • Have strong communication and decision-making abilities

  • Be comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment
  • Have no fear of heights
  • Be prepared to operate and maintain heavy industrial equipment
  • Be willing to complete technical college subjects
