Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) invites suitably qualified learners and students to apply for financial assistance towards further studies for the 2026 academic year. This bursary programme supports learners currently in Grade 12, those who have already passed Grade 12, and students enrolled at accredited tertiary or TVET institutions.

About the Bursary
The bursary programme is designed to promote equitable access to higher education by assisting students whose parents permanently reside within the Garden Route municipal area.
- Only full-time studies at SAQA-accredited tertiary institutions and TVET colleges will be considered.
- Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need and academic potential.
Requirements
Applicants must submit the following:
- Completed GRDM Bursary Application Form
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Cover letter/motivation letter
- Certified copy of Grade 12 results or equivalent qualification
- Latest academic record (for current tertiary students)
- Certified copy of South African ID
- Affidavit of parents’ combined income
- Proof of residential address (e.g., municipal account)
Only fully completed applications with all supporting documents will be considered.
