Gauteng Dept of Human Settlements: Bursaries 2020

The Head of Department of the Gauteng Provincial Department of Human Settlements hereby invites admitted under-graduate students to apply for bursaries to undertake full-time student in the 2020 academic year.

The Department of Human Settlements is offering limited number of bursaries to full-time 1st year students pursuing under-graduate studies in the following fields:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Town and Regional Planning
  • Construction Management
  • Construction Science
  • Building Sciences

Bursary Cover

Tuition and registration fees, student accommodation, prescribe books and /or study material for the 2020 academic year.

Requirements

Applicants must be a South African citizens between the age of 18 and 35, completed Grade 12, applicants must be reside in Gauteng, already registered or in possession of admission letter from an Institution of Higher Learning with Gauteng Province.

How to apply

Applications must be in an envelop clearly marked APPLICATION FOR GDHS EXTERNAL BURSARY PROGRAMME 2020, indicate the field applying for. Pr-selected applicants will be required to provide parents / guardians proof of income. Bursary application forms are available from: Reception Area, Ground Floors in the following offices:

  • No. 11 Diagonal Street, Johannesburg, Department of Housing (Blue Glass Building)
  • No. 129 Fox Street, Johannesburg, Gauteng Rental Housing Tribunal
  • No. 56 Corner Kruger and Burger Street, Krugersdorp
  • No. 50 Hamilton Street, Arcadia, Guateng Department of Human Settlements Tshwane.
  • No. 68 Voortrekker Road, Navada Building, Alberton
  • No. 01 Loch Street, Department of Human Settlement, Meyerton

Certified copies of the following must accompany applications:

  • Most recent academic record
  • South African Identity Document
  • Proof of Residency in Gauteng (Statement of Water and Lights, Rates and Taxes).
  • Proof of income (or an affidavit stating that parent/s or guardian are unemployed ).
  • Copy of the parent/s or guardian bank statements.
  • Completed application forms can be hand delivered at Department of Human Settlements and Regional Offices mentioned.

Faxed or email copies will not be considered: only completed applications and certified copies will be considered.
