Greater Oudtshoorn Municipality: Bursaries 2023

Greater Oudtshoorn Municipality invites South African students to apply for Bursaries Programme 2023 academic year.

Bursary Application closing date  is 18 November 2022

Applications for any field of study are invited from students currently studying at Tertiary or Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions and learners who are currently in Grade 12 or have passed Grade 12 for financial assistance towards further studies during the 2023 academic year. The financial contribution by the Oudtshoorn Municipality is restricted to full-time study and attendance at a SAQA-accredited tertiary or TVET institution. Students must reside within the Greater Oudtshoorn Municipality including the rural areas. Students that receive a full bursary from another institution, do not qualify for financial assistance from the Oudtshoorn Municipality.

This programme aims to develop students and learners with potential and learners that excel academically within the municipal area, affording partiality to individuals from historically disadvantaged societal groups and individuals with disabilities.

Bursaries will be allocated to students who are enrolled on courses for one (1) year or longer (can be theory or practical). Application forms are available at all municipal offices, libraries, the Youth Office and Oudtshoorn Thusong Service Centre during normal work hours (07:30-16:00). Applications will only be considered if it is correctly and fully completed and the following documentation is attached:

  • Certified statements of results of the previous academic year or semester.
  • Proof of registration/ admission at any tertiary institution
  • Certified copy of identity document
  • Proof of residential address
  • Proof of combined household income
