About the Apprenticeship Program: Motus Haval Kempton Park is offering an Accredited Competency Based Modular Training (CBMT) Apprenticeship. This program is a blend of on-the-job training (OJT) and classroom instruction under the guidance of a Qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic. The theoretical education is provided by the Imperial Technical Training Academy (ITTA), situated in Airport Park, Johannesburg.

Special Responsibilities:

  • The apprenticeship involves a 4-year contract spanning Levels 1 to 4.
  • Training includes 5 days in 5 weeks at ITTA, a distance learning program (CDX), computer-based testing and examination, practical competency testing, and MIBCO requirements.
  • Apprentices gain on-the-job experience in the Haval Service department, aligned with their level of competence achieved through the CBMT program.
  • Responsibilities include gathering evidence for a portfolio, working alongside a qualified technician, and performing service maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric (N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, and English with a minimum of 50%)
  • Driver’s license
  • Computer literacy
  • Successful completion of a mechanical insight test
  • Successful passage through standard background checks and medical assessment for fitness for work
