Kgetlengrivier Local Municipality invites suitably qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the Public Relations Intern position within the Office of the Mayor.

Location: Koster, North West Province
Salary: R10 000 per month

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Degree or Diploma in one of the following:
    • Media and Communications
    • Information Technology and Communications
    • Related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
  • Clean criminal record

Experience Required

  • Minimum of one (1) year relevant working experience

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt within a political and municipal environment
  • Think creatively and contribute innovative communication ideas
  • Be flexible, proactive, and willing to travel when required
  • Show passion for media, communication, social media, and information technology
  • Assist in revamping the Office of the Mayor’s communication platforms, including social media
  • Positively relay information, public relations content, municipal image, and news to the Kgetlengrivier community
