Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP
- At least 3 years’ bus driving experience (added advantage)
- Driver’s competency test will be conducted prior to appointment
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Transporting learners to and from Special Schools using designated routes
- Ensuring learner safety during transit, loading, and off-loading
- Communicating with learners, parents, and school staff professionally
- Conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Reporting mechanical issues and arranging vehicle maintenance
- Performing safety drills and completing required reports
- Collecting and delivering documents, mail, and parcels
- Purchasing and transporting equipment and groceries for institutions
- Transporting learners to clinics and hospitals when required
- Maintaining trip records, logbooks, mileage, and fuel usage
- Providing general support and customer service when required
