Mulilo Bursary Program for Northern Cape Students – Application Details
Overview: Mulilo Bursary Program is offering financial support for students from the Northern Cape province pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, or distance learning qualifications. This article provides all the necessary information to apply for the Mulilo Bursary.
Coverage Value: The Mulilo Bursary will cover the following expenses:
- Tuition fees
- Textbook allowance
- Accommodation
- Monthly stipend
Selection Process:
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and interviewed telephonically.
- Applicants who pass the telephonic interview will be invited for an in-person interview.
- Successful candidates will be notified of their acceptance by no later than 8 January 2024. Those who do not receive feedback should consider their application unsuccessful.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizenship.
- Age 35 or younger.
- Permanent residence in the Northern Cape province, specifically in Emthanjeni, Renosterberg, or Siyathemba municipalities.
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
- Enrolled or intending to enroll in an undergraduate, postgraduate, or distance learning program in any field.
- Studying or have applied to study at a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution (university, technicon, or TVET college).
- Total combined family income not exceeding R180,000 per annum (R15,000 per month).

Supporting Documentation: Submit clear copies of the following documents along with your completed application form:
- Certified copy of ID document.
- Certified copy of Matric latest results (if currently in Matric).
- Certified copy of Matric certificate (if completed Matric).
- Full academic record/transcripts (if currently studying) on the institution’s letterhead.
- Proof of application or registration at a tertiary institution (on institution’s letterhead).
- Motivational essay explaining why you are applying for the bursary and why you should be selected (see application form for details).
