This exciting opportunity is accessible to student studying accredited qualifications at the major South African Universities and University of Technology.
Northam Zondereinde is an established Platinum Group Metal (PGM, Mine in the Limpopo province which produces some 300 000 PGM ounces annually.
The Zonderende Mine is the home of pioneering technology and innovation. both in the underground workings and at its world-class metallurgic infrastructure.
It is situated some 40km from Thabazimbi, in close proximity to the naturally scenic Pilanesberg and Waterberg Reserve.

In line with our approved Social and Labour Plan (SLP), Northam Platinum, Zondereinde Mine is looking to award bursaries to top-performing students studying towards mining related qualifications.

How to apply
Required documents
- A valid South African Identity Document (SA Citizen)
- A valid National Senior Certificate, having passed all subjects with an aggregate of 60% or more. If one is studying towards obtaining it, please send Grade 11 and current Grade 12 results
- Students already at Tertiary Institutions, should have obtained a minimum average of 60% in all major subjects
- Academic record including current year results should be attached

South African universities require a prospective student to first apply for admission before he/she can register.
Zondeminde will only consider students who can prove that they possess provisional admission at the institution of their choice for their preferred field of study.
