The Northern Cape Department of Health invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the TVET Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and University Graduate Internship Programme 2026.

Programme Duration:
- TVET WIL Programme: 18 Months
- University Graduate Internship Programme: 12 Months
About the Programme
The Northern Cape Department of Health, through its Human Resources Development unit, is offering workplace experience opportunities to unemployed youth in the Northern Cape.
The programme aims to provide practical exposure aligned with the applicants’ field of study.
HWSETA will fund the programme, and successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend according to the HWSETA interns’ remuneration schedule, based on their qualification.

Qualification: Certificate (N6)
- Certificate in Human Resources (N6)
- Certificate in Public Management (N6)
- Certificate in Financial Management (N6)
Qualification: Diploma or Degree (NQF)
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management
- Diploma/Degree in Public Management
- Diploma/Degree in Financial / Accounting / Business Management
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Development or Development Studies
- BSc in Information Technology
- Diploma/Degree in Labour or Legal Law
- Any other Health-related qualification

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed South African citizens
- Be residents of the Northern Cape
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Possess one of the listed qualifications
Applicants who have not yet received their qualification certificates must submit:
- Academic transcripts
- Letter confirming completion of studies
Funding and Conditions
- HWSETA will fund the programme
- Successful candidates must sign learner agreements and related documents
- Selected candidates will sign a contract with the Department of Health
- A monthly stipend will be paid according to HWSETA remuneration guidelines

- Updated CV
- Certified copies of qualifications
- Certified copy of ID (not older than 3 months)
- Affidavit confirming unemployment
- In-service letter from college (where applicable)
