About the Learnership

Old Mutual believes in empowering Africa’s youth through education, inclusion, and skill development. The Old Mutual Insure – CGIC Learnership offers unemployed young people the opportunity to gain practical work experience, obtain an NQF Level 5 qualification, and become part of a leading African success story.

Participants will receive structured training, mentorship, and exposure to real-world business operations across various functions of Old Mutual Insure.


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Hold a valid Matric certificate (completed by 31 December 2024).
  • Have Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy as a Matric subject.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Must not have been employed for more than 12 months.
  • Must not be currently studying.
  • Be credit clear and criminal record free.
  • Must have English as one of the languages passed in Matric.

Required Documentation

Applicants must submit certified copies of the following documents:

  • Matric certificate (with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy)
  • Full academic transcript (if applicable)
  • Certified copy of ID
  • Credit and criminal clearance confirmation
