PIC Graduate Development Programme 2026 / 2027

The Public Investment Corporation is offering a structured Graduate Development Programme aimed at helping high-potential graduates transition from academic study into professional careers within the asset and investment management sector.

The programme combines targeted learning, practical workplace exposure, mentorship and experience across relevant PIC business functions.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have completed or be studying towards at least an NQF Level 7 qualification from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Candidates must also:

  • Have achieved a minimum overall academic average of 60%.
  • Have no previous participation in a similar graduate programme.
  • Have a strong interest in financial services, particularly asset and investment management.
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Corporate Finance Internship

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Accounting or Auditing.

Knowledge of Taxation, Cost Accounting, Valuations and Financial Modelling will be advantageous.

Procurement Internship

Applicants must have a commerce-related qualification and an interest in finance.

Company Secretariat Internship

Applicants must have a relevant qualification in Commerce, Economics or Law.

Regulatory Compliance Internship

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Commerce or LLB qualification.

Investment Legal Internship

Applicants must have an LLB or Bachelor of Commerce in Law.

Corporate Legal Internship

Applicants must have an LLB or Bachelor of Commerce in Law.

Corporate Services โ€“ Records Management Internship

Suitable qualifications include Information Science, Records and Archives Management, Information Management, Knowledge Management, Library and Information Science, Information Systems, Data and Information Governance or Digital Information Management.

Properties Internship

Applicants may have qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Property Studies, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Property Valuation, Economics, Finance, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Investment Management, Business Science or Construction Management.

Internal Audit Internship

Suitable qualifications include Information Technology, Financial Information Systems, Accounting, Investment Management and Risk Management.

IT graduates may be considered for IT audit opportunities.

Ethics Office Internship

Applicants may have a qualification in Commerce, Compliance, Risk Management, Law or an equivalent field.

Investment Risk โ€“ Credit Risk Internship

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Commerce, Finance or Accounting.

Enterprise Risk Internship

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Commerce, Finance or Accounting.

A separate Enterprise Risk opportunity also accepts candidates with a Degree in Human Resource Management.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Business Analysis, together with an understanding of Finance.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Investment, Accounting or Economics.

Unlisted Investment Internship

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Investment or Accounting.

Fixed Income Internship

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Investment, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or Mathematics.
