Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ) invite students to submit applications for the Bursary Programme for the academic year 2024.
Bursary application closing date is 31 January 2024.
The RBIDZ (Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone) Bursary is aimed at students within the King Cetshwayo District in KwaZulu-Natal pursuing undergraduate studies in specific fields.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the RBIDZ Bursary:
- Citizenship: Applicants must be South African citizens.
- Residency: Must reside within the King Cetshwayo District, KwaZulu-Natal.
- Background: Applicants must be from a previously disadvantaged background.
- Education: Currently in Matric (in 2023) or completed Matric.
- Minimum Grades: Minimum level 5 in English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Accounting, and Economics in Matric.
- Field of Study: Pursuing full-time studies in listed fields at recognized South African universities.
- Financial Need: Must demonstrate financial need.

- Obtain the Application Form: Download and complete the RBIDZ Bursary Application Form 2024 (.pdf)
- Application Details: Provide information about “StudentRoom” as the source of hearing about the RBIDZ bursary.
- Supporting Documentation: Gather and submit certified copies of specific documents, including:
- ID document
- Matric certificate/statement of results
- Proof of acceptance from a recognized university or university of technology
- Proof of parental/guardian income
- Reference letter from a teacher or community leader
- Motivational letter explaining why you should be selected and your career prospects
- Proof of residence in the King Cetshwayo District
- Certification of Documents: Ensure that all submitted documents are certified by a commissioner of oaths within the last three months.
