Samsung Electronics South Africa Proprietary (SSAP) invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for the Supply Chain Management / Procurement Internship Programme 2023 / 2024.

Internship Location: Durban (Dube Trade port)

Position: Supply Chain Management/Procurement Internship

Duration: 12 months

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Supply Chain Management Degree
    • Computer literacy, especially in MS Excel.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Assisting the Purchasing Team in the efficient and cost-effective flow of raw materials to manufacturing and service processes.
  • Purchasing mechanical parts from local suppliers.
  • Managing purchase orders and delivery orders.
  • Overseeing the total inquiry tender process.
  • Identifying supply risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensuring the uninterrupted supply of goods and services.
  • Managing supplier performance.
  • Minimizing aging stocks.
  • Processing RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) requests.
  • Assisting the Procurement group’s leader in managing the group.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • General filing.
  • Assisting the Purchasing department with ad-hoc duties.
