Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have Grade 12 Mathematics, not Mathematical Literacy, and Science with a minimum E symbol.
Applicants must also have two N2 trade-related subjects, or a minimum N2 qualification with four relevant trade-related subjects.
A minimum symbol of E / 40% is required. Subjects with F symbols will not be accepted.
Trade Theory Requirements
Auto Electrician
Applicants must have Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics and Electrical Trade Theory.
Boilermaker
Applicants must have Mathematics, Engineering Science, Plating and Structural Steel Drawing, and Plater Trade Theory.
Diesel Mechanic
Applicants must have Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing, and Diesel or Motor Trade Theory.
Fitter
Applicants must have Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing, and Fitting and Machining Theory.
Rigger
Applicants must have Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing and Mechanotechnology.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must be able and prepared to undergo a psychometric assessment.
Candidates must be able and willing to work shifts, standby and call-outs when required.
Applicants must be able to work under pressure, be innovative and be self-starters.
Candidates must be able to identify faults without supervision.
Applicants must be in possession of, or able to obtain, a valid Certificate of Fitness.
A valid K53 driverโs licence is required.
Applicants must have no criminal record.
Advantageous
Experience in the mining sector will be an added advantage.
