Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for the Sibanye-Stillwater Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Residency: Must reside within local communities and labor sending areas of Operating Segment Platinum Rustenburg.
- Education: Completed Matric (Grade 12) with the following achievements:
- University acceptance pass in Matric with a minimum APS of 23.
- Minimum 60% pass mark for English, Mathematics, and Physical Science in Matric.
- Field of Study: Pursuing or accepted to study in one of the preferred fields:
- Electrical Engineering
- Geology
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgy Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Mining Survey
- Rock Engineering
- University Enrollment: Registered or accepted at specific tertiary institutions: University of Johannesburg (UJ), University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), University of Pretoria (UP), North-West University (NWU).
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must undergo a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Care Centre and be declared medically fit for the position and environment.
