Job Purpose:

  • Assist the Finance Manager in key finance functions for accurate fund recording and accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Check, capture, reconcile invoices, and prepare debtors/creditors analysis.
  • Bank and Payments: Assist in capturing transactions accurately, conduct reconciliations for various accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in management account preparation, journal entries, and project accounting.
  • Statutory Payments: Prepare SARS submissions (PAYE, UIF, VAT) and other required reports.
  • General: Assist in filing, fixed asset counts, BEE verification, audits, system maintenance, etc.
  • Human Resources Management: Take ownership of responsibilities, identify training needs, contribute to team development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Accounting.
  • Experience: Knowledge of Sage 300.

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent communication, planning, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret data, multitask, and prioritize
  • Self-motivated with a good work ethic
  • Exercise judgment, integrity, discretion with sensitive information
