Toyota South Africa is offering an exciting Learner Maintenance (Unemployed Prod) Learnership Programme for 2026, aimed at unemployed South African youth who want to build a solid foundation in manufacturing and maintenance skills.

The programme is hosted at Toyota’s Prospecton plant in Durban, one of the largest and most advanced manufacturing facilities in the country.

The programme is offered by Toyota South Africa Manufacturing, a leading automotive manufacturer known for high-quality production standards, strong safety culture, and long-term skills development initiatives.

On completion of the programme, learners will achieve a National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 3 certification.

Participants will receive structured theoretical and practical training in key manufacturing and maintenance areas, including:

  • National Technical Certificate N3 – N6, OR
  • Matric or Technical Matric with:
    • Mathematics and Physical Science, OR
    • Engineering Science, OR
    • Electrical Trade Theory, Mechanical Trade Theory, or Motor Trade Theory
    • Mechanical Drawing or Graphical Design

This programme is specifically targeted at unemployed candidates with a technical or engineering-oriented academic background.
