Introduction:
Tracker Connect is providing a unique opportunity for 15 young individuals in South Africa, offering an Installation Technician Internship at NQF Level 4. The internship will be based at Tracker Head Office in Johannesburg. The primary goal is to upskill unemployed youth, enabling them to install electronic equipment in various vehicle types, including trucks and plant machinery. The internship involves a supervised and structured learning approach, encompassing both theoretical and workplace learning.
Job Description:
Competencies:
- Perform installations to the set standard of quality.
- Complete all relevant documentation associated with the installation.
- Follow a pre-determined installation schedule.
- Provide customer service according to a set standard.
- Be responsible for all fixed assets issued by the company.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification in the Automotive-related industry (e.g., Autotronics Level 1, Auto Electrical N3, Auto Mechanical N3, or Electrical Engineering N3 – Light Current).
- Mechanical/Automotive electrical work experience is advantageous.
- No previous technical-related internship experience.
- Currently unemployed or not involved in full-time study, learnership, or internship.
- Willingness to travel for related coursework.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Age between 18 and 35 years.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Dedicated and responsible individuals.
- Computer literacy will be advantageous (MS Office).
- Independent thinking.
- Logic and reasoning.
- Valid driver’s license.
Please note: Preference will be given to applicants from designated groups in line with Tracker’s policies.
A minimal stipend will be provided as remuneration to cover basic expenses throughout the 12-month duration of the Learnership.
