Position Purpose
The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Trainee Programme provides students and recent graduates with structured workplace exposure. The programme allows participants to apply their academic knowledge in a practical environment while gaining valuable industry experience.
The programme runs for 18 months and focuses on enhancing employability through:
- Hands-on training
- Mentorship
- Real business exposure
Key Responsibilities
Task Execution
- Assist with departmental projects
- Perform operational tasks under supervision
- Support documentation and reporting
Learning & Development
- Participate in training sessions and workshops
- Shadow experienced professionals
- Develop analytical and problem-solving skills
Communication & Collaboration
- Interact with customers, suppliers and internal teams
- Provide progress updates
- Act as a contact point for assistance
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards
- Maintain confidentiality
- Follow ethical and professional guidelines
Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research and data analysis
- Prepare reports and presentations
- Support process improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric certificate (or equivalent)
- N6 qualification in Transport & Logistics or Business Management
- Be a South African citizen
- Be between 18–35 years old
- No bursary obligation with another company
