Tronox KZN Sands Engineering Apprenticeships 2026
Tronox KZN Sands is offering a three-year engineering apprenticeship programme aimed at developing unemployed South African youth into qualified artisans.
The programme provides structured technical training and practical workplace experience in several engineering trades.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science.
A valid driver’s licence is compulsory.
Candidates must also have N3 with Mathematics, Engineering Science and two related trade theory subjects.

- Updated CV.
- Certified copy of South African ID not older than three months.
- Certified copy of valid driver’s licence.
- Certified copy of Grade 12 certificate.
- Proof of residence from the relevant Tribal Council.
Applications without the required supporting documents may not be considered.
Preference Areas
Preference will be given to applicants from communities falling under the following Tribal Councils: Kwa Dube, Kwa Nzunza, Kwa Mkhwanazi, Ogagwini, Somopho, Macambini and Madlebe.
Preference may also be given to applicants from uMhlathuze Municipality, uMlalazi Municipality and Mandeni Municipality.
Skills Required
Tronox is looking for candidates with good communication, planning and organisational skills.
Applicants should also demonstrate initiative, teamwork, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a willingness to learn.
Selection Process
Pre-screening evaluations will form part of the selection process.
Successful candidates will also be required to undergo a medical assessment, and psychometric testing may be required.
Appointments will be made in line with Tronox’s Employment Equity policy.
