Tswelopele Local Municipality invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) for the 2025–2027 period.

This is a structured, two-year professional development opportunity offering hands-on experience within the Municipality’s Budget and Treasury Office.
About the Internship Programme
The MFMIP aims to provide high-quality financial training in line with the Municipal Finance Management Act. Interns will gain practical exposure across municipal finance functions, including budgeting, treasury operations, and compliance with financial regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen between the ages of 21 and 35
- Unemployed graduate
- BCom degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or BTech (NQF Level 7) in:
- Internal Auditing
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Tswelopele Local Municipality area
- Shortlisted candidates may be subjected to competency assessments
Internship Details
- Duration: 24 months (2-year contract)
- Stipend: R120,000.00 per annum
- Location: Tswelopele Local Municipality, Free State
- Start Date: To be confirmed upon appointment
