Internship Location: Mount Ayliff (EmaXesibeni) & KwaBhaca, Eastern Cape, South Africa
Duration: 12 months (fixed-term contract)
Stipend/Package: R48,027.24 per annum
Available Internship Opportunities
1. Intern: Information Communication and Technology (ICT) (x1)
Directorate: Corporate Services
- Requirements:
- Grade 12
- 3-year Degree/National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle pressure and work as part of a team
- Key Performance Areas:
- Assist and support end-users
- Handle departmental IT queries
- Assist in troubleshooting ICT problems
- Telephone and cellphone management
2. Intern: Sound Governance (x1)
Directorate: Corporate Services
- Requirements:
- Grade 12
- 3-year Degree/National Diploma in Public Management or equivalent
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of Local Government
- Key Performance Areas:
- Assist in Records/Registry and Committee Services
- Provide customer care and secretariat support
- Record and update files according to referencing sequence
- Assist with logistics coordination
3. Intern: Town Planning (x1)
Directorate: Infrastructure & Planning
- Requirements:
- Grade 12
- 3-year Degree/National Diploma in Town & Regional Planning, Geology, Economics Development, or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of Local Government
- Strong computer literacy and problem-solving skills
- Key Performance Areas:
- Data capturing and land use survey
- Site inspections and development applications
- Preparation of reports
- Assist in coordination of town planning functions
