The Companies Tribunal is inviting suitably qualified applicants to apply for the Communications and Marketing Internship 2026.
This internship programme is aimed at providing work experience to unemployed graduates who do not have relevant career experience and are between the ages of 18 and 35.
The Companies Tribunal is an agency of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), established in terms of the Companies Act 71 of 2008.
About the Companies Tribunal
The Companies Tribunal is responsible for adjudicating applications made in terms of the Companies Act.
Its mandate includes reviewing decisions made by the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) and serving as a forum for alternative dispute resolution in matters arising under the Companies Act.

Stipend: R84 110,86 – R89 273,52 per annum
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a three-year Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:
Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or Social Media.
Applicants must not have served an internship before.
Applicants must not have been previously employed.
Candidates must have computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
Applicants must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
Required Skills
Applicants should have good written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates must have interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail.
Applicants must show a desire and potential to learn.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks when needed.
Responsibilities
The intern will participate in communications and marketing activities under supervision.
Duties will include content creation for different social media platforms, including text posts, images, videos and infographics.
The intern will also assist with managing and maintaining the organisation’s social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other relevant platforms.
Social Media and Marketing Duties
The intern will monitor, respond to and engage with the online community.
They will help build positive relationships with followers and fans.
The intern will also assist with planning and executing paid social media advertising campaigns to increase brand visibility and support marketing goals.
Other duties include assessing social media performance and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Additional Duties
The intern will keep up to date with the latest social media trends, tools and best practices to ensure the organisation’s digital presence remains relevant.
They will work closely with the Communications and Marketing team and other departments to align social media strategies with overall marketing and communication goals.
The intern may also perform any other administrative functions assigned.
