Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric, NCV Level 4 or equivalent.
- 1–2 years’ practical experience in a general worker, tourism or hospitality environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and workplace policies.
- Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
- Good time-management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and varying shifts.
The following will be advantageous:
- Driver’s licence.
- Chainsaw experience.
- Brush cutter experience.
- First Aid knowledge.
- Short course in landscaping.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in tourism facilities.
- Clean public areas, ablution facilities, offices, campsites and accommodation areas.
- Assist with cleaning chalets, huts and kitchens.
- Collect and dispose of refuse.
- Maintain grounds and pathways.
- Clear vegetation and remove litter.
- Assist with minor maintenance and painting.
- Report damaged infrastructure and equipment.
- Load and unload equipment and supplies.
- Transport linen and other operational materials.
- Assist with preparing guest facilities before and after arrivals.
- Assist with stock handling.
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
- Provide professional assistance to visitors.
- Assist during emergency situations.
- Relieve duties at the filling station when required.
- Perform other reasonable duties allocated by the supervisor.

- Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
- Carry out plumbing work.
- Perform carpentry work.
- Assist with building and civil works.
- Maintain fences.
