Agricultural Research Council (ARC) Invites South African Graduates to Apply for nternship Porgramme 2025.

Internship Location: ARC – Infruitec-Nietvoorbij, Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa

The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) – Deciduous Fruit, Vines, and Wine division invites applications from qualified, dynamic graduates to apply for two (2) internship positions under a project funded by the National Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD).

Internship Responsibilities:

• Assist with research projects and routine tasks under supervision
• Support fieldwork and trials, including extended hours when required
• Supervise temporary workers (if allocated)
• Collect, capture, and evaluate research data
• Provide diagnostic and research support services
• Participate in planting and maintenance of glasshouse and field trials
• Follow health, safety, and risk procedures
• Provide regular updates to supervisors

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma in Agriculture with a focus in Crop Science, Soil Science, or Agronomy
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to do physical fieldwork
• Prior experience in research field trials will be an added advantage
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a research environment
