Ivanplats invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for the Internship Programme 2023 / 2024.

IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for the following developmental opportunity required for the project development.
Internship Programme (Ref: IVP-HRD-05)
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
- Grade 12
- Minimum EB Driver’s License (Code 8): (Advantageous)
- 12 Months letter from university confirming the need for work experience prior to graduating or
- Proof of completion of qualification/ National Diploma/ Degree from recognized tertiary institution.
- Applications are invited from candidates who are unemployed.
The Programme will cover qualification/ speciality of any technical/ non- technical applicable to the positions relevant to Ivanplats Mine within the following departments:
- Mining
- Engineering
- Support Services
Duration and Conditions:
- The programme will be on a duration of 12 Months.
- The successful candidates will be enrolled for continuous training programme.
- Candidates must be prepared to work underground and on surface, for all mining operations requirements.
- Must pass the relevant medical fitness examination.
- Be in position of COVID19 vaccination certificate.
The following must be attached to all applications:
- CV and certified copies of qualifications, academic records, and SA Identity document;
- Letter from the tribal Authority/ward councillor where you reside confirming your residence.
- Fully vaccinated against Covid19 certificate.
