PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) invites South African students to apply for its Chartered Accountancy Bursary Programme 2026, designed to support ambitious learners pursuing a career as Chartered Accountants (CAs) through SAICA-accredited institutions.

About the PwC Bursary
The PwC CA Bursary is intended for high-achieving students with strong academic performance and a desire to qualify as Chartered Accountants. Bursaries are awarded to applicants intending to or currently studying full-time toward a SAICA-accredited accounting degree.
Students can apply before or during their studies. Successful applicants will join the PwC CA training programme after completing their Honours/CTA and gain practical experience in a professional business environment.
What the Bursary Covers
Bursary awards are based on both academic performance and financial need:
- Academic Achievement Award:
- Fixed amount covering tuition fees and a book allowance.
- Tuition and/or Accommodation Bursary:
- Covers 20% to 100% of tuition fees and book allowance.
- Accommodation and a once-off living allowance may also be covered for students in financial need.
Note: Bridging courses are not covered by the bursary.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Be a South African citizen or permanent resident
- Be currently in Matric or have completed it with university exemption
- Intend to study or be studying full-time toward a Chartered Accountancy qualification
- Be enrolled at a SAICA-accredited university
- Have achieved the following academic results:
- Minimum “B” for Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) in Matric
- Minimum “B” for English (First or Second Language) in Matric
- Minimum 75% overall average in Matric
- Minimum 70% average if in 1st or 2nd year
- Minimum 65% average if in 3rd or 4th year
