PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Bursaries 2026

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) invites South African students to apply for its Chartered Accountancy Bursary Programme 2026, designed to support ambitious learners pursuing a career as Chartered Accountants (CAs) through SAICA-accredited institutions.

About the PwC Bursary

The PwC CA Bursary is intended for high-achieving students with strong academic performance and a desire to qualify as Chartered Accountants. Bursaries are awarded to applicants intending to or currently studying full-time toward a SAICA-accredited accounting degree.

Students can apply before or during their studies. Successful applicants will join the PwC CA training programme after completing their Honours/CTA and gain practical experience in a professional business environment.


What the Bursary Covers

Bursary awards are based on both academic performance and financial need:

  • Academic Achievement Award:
    • Fixed amount covering tuition fees and a book allowance.
  • Tuition and/or Accommodation Bursary:
    • Covers 20% to 100% of tuition fees and book allowance.
    • Accommodation and a once-off living allowance may also be covered for students in financial need.

Note: Bridging courses are not covered by the bursary.


Eligibility Requirements

To apply, you must:

  • Be a South African citizen or permanent resident
  • Be currently in Matric or have completed it with university exemption
  • Intend to study or be studying full-time toward a Chartered Accountancy qualification
  • Be enrolled at a SAICA-accredited university
  • Have achieved the following academic results:
    • Minimum “B” for Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) in Matric
    • Minimum “B” for English (First or Second Language) in Matric
    • Minimum 75% overall average in Matric
    • Minimum 70% average if in 1st or 2nd year
    • Minimum 65% average if in 3rd or 4th year

  • Strong business, digital, and technical capabilities
  • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork
  • Problem-solving ability
