About the ATS Traineeship Programme
ATNS is offering structured bursary-funded training for youth who are passionate about aviation. The programme includes classroom instruction, practical exposure, and workplace experience at the Aviation Training Academy. Placement of successful trainees will align with ATNS operational needs across South Africa.
Available ATS Streams:
- Air Traffic Services Officer (ATSO)
- Aeronautical Information Management Officer (AIMO)
- Target Generating Officer (TGO)
- Airport Management Centre (AMC) Liaison Officer
- Simulator Support Officer (SSO)
Minimum Entry Requirements
- South African citizen with a valid ID
- Completed Matric, with at least:
- Level 4 in Pure Mathematics (HG – D or SG C or above)
- Level 4 in English (HG – D or SG C or above)
- Unemployed South African youth
- Medically fit (willing to undergo ATNS medical assessment for ATSO stream)
- Willing to relocate anywhere in the country
- Must attach Grade 12 results
- Not have participated in a previous ATNS training programme
