About the Apprenticeship
As an apprentice at Sasol Mining, you will receive structured training to become a Qualified Diesel Mechanic, in line with the QCTO (Quality Council for Trades and Occupations) and National Artisan Moderation Board (NAMB) standards.
Minimum Requirements
N3 Certificate (or equivalent to Grade 12)
Completed National Senior Certificate with a pass in any of the following:
- Technical Mathematics / Mathematics
- English / Business English
- Technical / Physical Science
- Engineering Science
- Business English / Communications
📌 Note: You will be required to complete Diesel N2 trade theory before attempting the final trade test.
What You Will Learn
- Diesel equipment
- Mechanical equipment
- Maintenance of underground production equipment (LDV, Tractor, etc.)
- Safety requirements for equipment
- Good housekeeping
