The Competition Commission of South Africa is inviting applications from high-achieving graduates to join the 2026 Cadet Training Programme (Graduate Development). This is a 24-month fixed-term programme designed to provide in-depth training and hands-on experience in competition economics and law, supporting the Commission’s Vision 2030 of a Competitive, Dynamic, Deconcentrated, and Inclusive economy.

About the Programme
This exciting programme offers graduates the opportunity to deepen their expertise in competition law, economics, strategy, finance, and governance while contributing to South Africa’s economic transformation. On successful completion, cadets may apply for growth opportunities within the Commission.

Minimum Requirements
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Completed Honours degree in one of the following fields:
- Human Resource Management
- Human Capital Management
- Human Capital / Organisational Development
- Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, Public Policy, or related fields
- Strong academic record (70% and above will be an advantage).
- No prior working experience in the same field.
- Evidence of proactive engagement in initiatives beyond coursework.
- Excellent interpersonal, research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
Additional Considerations
- All international qualifications must be accompanied by a SAQA accreditation certificate.
- Shortlisted candidates may undergo psychometric assessments.
- Successful candidates will be vetted for security purposes.
- The Commission reserves the right not to fill positions.
